Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy

Maystone PLC has implemented a robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) policy to prevent our services from being used for illicit activities. Our commitment is to maintain the highest standards of integrity and compliance, protecting our company and our clients from financial crime.

Key Pillars of Our AML Framework

Our AML framework is built on the following core principles:

  • Risk-Based Approach: We assess the risk of money laundering and terrorist financing on a case-by-case basis. Factors considered include the client’s jurisdiction, business activities, and source of funds. We apply Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) to higher-risk clients to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of their background and transactions.
  • Client Due Diligence (CDD) / Know Your Customer (KYC): We conduct thorough due diligence on all clients to verify their identity and legal status. This involves collecting and verifying personal identification documents, proof of address, and ownership structures for corporate clients.
  • Source of Funds and Wealth Verification: We require our clients to provide clear evidence of their source of funds and source of wealth to ensure the legality of their assets.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: We continuously monitor client activities and transactions to identify any unusual or suspicious behavior that may indicate potential money laundering or other financial crime.
  • Record Keeping: We maintain detailed records of all client identification, due diligence, and transaction data for the period required by law.
  • Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR): We are legally obligated to report any suspicious activities or transactions to the relevant financial intelligence unit or law enforcement agencies. This is done confidentially and without notifying the client.

Client Cooperation

We require your complete and transparent cooperation with our AML and KYC procedures. This is a mandatory condition for all our services. If you are unwilling or unable to provide the necessary information or if your profile raises significant compliance concerns, we will be unable to offer our services. Any attempts to provide false or misleading information will result in the immediate termination of our engagement and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
